As you can still see, its still not 100% finished. Downlights are waiting to be finished and painting of deck railing and also eves on roof. The deck isnt as big as what I'd like, but council permits us to be atleast 9 metres away from the neighbours back fence. We will apply later for a permit to extend our deck. Looking forward to putting out barbie back up and start eating on the deck on summer nights. We need to oil the deck but you need to let Merbau sit for atleast 6 months before oiling.
All 6 doors, one in jakes room, one in hollies room, 2 in family room, one in laundry and one in our master, all head out to the deck. Didnt think of the convenience of the kids sneaking out when they are older!
The heater/aircon on the wall right up the end is being removed and we will "possibly" replace it with a wall mounted washing line.
Eves above heater area still need to be replaced. Cant wait to finish and post the final pic :)
I am so impressed. it looks like a totally different place. You should be very happy and proud of yourself. I have to admit when i saw the plans for the kids doors, my first thought was, they are going to be sneaking out all the time... hahaha... well we can only go by experience can't we. Well done.. the place looks fantastic and i cant wait for the next bbq. xxx
